I truly love traveling and experiencing new things, and I have been so blessed to be able to do so throughout my life. This is a list of things that I have done or accomplished that I really loved! And I hope to be able to continue adding to my bucket list!
Surfing
Sadly I didn't get a picture of me learning to surf, so this is just a picture of me in front of the beach on the same trip.. BUT, my surf lesson was more fun than I thought it would be! I'm pretty sure I only actually stood up once or twice, but I loved it!
The Alamo
As a Texas girl I of course had to put visiting the Alamo on here.
Cliff Jumping
This one probably isn't a huge deal to some people, but for me it was terrifying. I don't like heights or jumping off of things, but I did it! And as you can see I chose to jump off of the shortest part of the cliff I could find..
Skydiving
I just said on the cliff jumping picture that I hate heights, but I absolutely loved skydiving. Unlike cliff jumping, I was not nervous at all when I jumped out of the plane (I'm weird, I know). I definitely want to do this again someday!
(Also if you're ever in Oahu, GO! This is where I did it and it was BEAUTIFUL)
Snowboarding
This was my brother and I learning to snowboard for the first time! I have done both snowboarding and skiing, but for me snowboarding was definitely easier and more fun than skiing. But honestly I'm just more of a beach person :)
Half Marathon
After I completed this I swore I would run a full marathon, but it still has yet to happen so we'll see..
Hare Krishna Festival
So fun! I also accomplished another bucket list item here: crowd surfing!
Down sides: Chalk getting in your mouth (it's inevitable) and the rest of the week whenever you blow your nose, it will be very colorful :)
Platform 9 3/4
I LOVE Harry Potter. I was only in London for a nine hour layover, but I made sure I came to King's Cross Station just for HP.
Volunteer Abroad
I got to go on a humanitarian trip to Uganda and it was such a humbling and life changing experience. Seriously such a privilege to meet these beautiful and wonderful people!
African Safari
Complete safari experience, including a hippo showing up outside our cabin in the middle of the night and almost being attacked by a warthog for standing too close to it for a picture..
Whitewater Rafting the Nile
I have also been whitewater rafting in Idaho and Bali, but of course rafting the Nile was the most beautiful, memorable, and amazing experience!
Marriage
See Love Story page..best day of my life.
Honeymoon
Scott surprised me with a trip to Cancun after our wedding. We stayed in a resort that was on the beach and it was perfect! I want to go back every single day.
Swimming with Dolphins
I am so sad, but Scott and I did not buy any of our pictures when we swam with dolphins, so here is a picture of him when we were on our way there. (Don't worry those are my sunglasses, not his) But we both super loved it and had a lot of fun!
Muse Concert
I have been to so many concerts, but this was definitely one of the most memorable. I don't even know all of their stuff, but I still had so much fun and was blown away by their performance.
Disneyland
My grandparents live right outside LA, so I have actually been here often when I've visited them, but this was the first time I went when it was decorated for Christmas. I love disney! :)
Mud Run
I'm pretty sure Scott will never run any type of race with me ever again after this, but I'm glad I did it at least once! For those who don't love the constant or long distance running, the mud run broke up the race and made it more fun with all of the obstacles. And this proves how much Scott really loves me because he does not like running. At all.
Taylor Swift Concert
Amazing amazing amazing. I love her, and this show was incredible.
(You can tell that Scott is thrilled to be there as well..)
Bellagio Fountains
I don't know why, but I just love this fountain show. I've been multiple times so I thought I would be over them by now, but every time I go, I still love it just as much.
Graduated College
I absolutely loved my years at BYU and I wouldn't trade them for anything! Scott and I happened to graduate the same semester so we got to walk across the stage together!
Caribbean Cruise
Love love love cruises. I've been on two and together they went to Belize, Cozumel, Jamaica, Honduras, Costa Maya, and the Grand Caymans. It is so fun to be able to visit so many different places in one week! And of course all of the free food on the cruise is easily the best part!
Stingray City
This was one of those simultaneously scary and awesome experiences (I think you can see the terror in my face..), but I got my kiss in which means seven years good luck!
Snorkeling
I have always liked snorkeling, but not loved it, and then I was scuba certified (further down on this list), and it completely ruined snorkeling for me. Scuba diving is the way to go. Hands down.
Ziplining
I LOVE ziplining! And it's not something you do once and check off your list, but once you do it, you just want to go again and again. At least that's how it is for me..
Hug a Monkey
Our first family portrait :) We got to take turns holding this cute baby orangutan!
Pet a Tiger and a Lion
If you're ever in Indonesia, go to Taman Safari! Such a cool experience!
Scuba Diving
If you ever get the chance, get certified!! It is so worth it! Scott and I did a fast track type program, so we got certified in four days, two days in the pool and two days doing dives, and now we can go whenever we want! This picture was at a dive site in Bali called the U.S.S.R. Liberty Shipwreck and it was completely breathtaking, and the fish will swim right up to you! Literally felt like I was in the Little Mermaid.
Sad Story: We bought a nice underwater camera specifically for this and then realized that it couldn't go deeper than 6 meters... so this is the only picture we got from this amazing experience :(
Turtle Conservation
Got to play with cute turtles and feed them! This place was so cool! It was totally free, but you can donate money to help them help the turtles :)
(Please forgive my hair, I have no idea what's going on there..)
Monkey Forest
Another one about monkeys (also in Indonesia)! This was actually kind of scary. Just buy some bananas and walk around this place and wild monkeys will jump all over you to get the bananas!
Watch Sunrise at Mount Bromo
This was in Indonesia and it is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. This picture was obviously taken after sunrise, but seeing this view was way cooler than actually watching the sunrise.
Swim with Elephants
We got to swim with the elephants, ride them, pet them, feed them, take pictures with them, everything! Elephants are seriously so awesome!
Coke World
This place was way cooler than I thought it was going to be so it made the bucket list. It was so much fun to try all of the different coke products from all over the world in the taste testing room. If you ever go do not drink the soda from Italy or India.. you have been warned.
Justin Timberlake Concert
Not only was JT obviously amazing live, but it was also in Las Vegas at MGM Grand and it was (supposedly) his last concert ever!
so much fun! Your life totally rocks!
